execution is violent
the word exists for a reason
Feb 19, 2026
the purest form of execution is violence. think about that for a second. the act of getting shit done is literally called “executing.” that's not a coincidence. the word exists because at its core, completing something requires you to kill it. eliminate it. remove it from existence.
one must eliminate the task at hand, by all means necessary. not think about eliminating it. not plan to eliminate it next week. not talk about eliminating it on a podcast. kill it. today. right now.
this is the part most people don't get. they romanticize the idea of being productive. they buy the planner. they set up the notion board. they color code their calendar. and then they do absolutely nothing. that's not execution. that's theater.
real execution is violent. it's uncomfortable. it's waking up and choosing war against your own to-do list every single morning. it's looking at the thing you've been avoiding and running directly at it instead of around it. there is no graceful way to do it. you just do it and it's ugly and it's done.
i learned this the hard way. when you're building something from nothing - no safety net, no trust fund, no fallback plan - you don't get the luxury of being precious about how things get done. you get the luxury of survival. that's it. and survival requires violence toward everything standing between you and the outcome.
the people who operate under this mindset are a different breed. they don't have cleaner systems or better tools. they just have a higher tolerance for discomfort and a lower tolerance for bullshit. they see the task, they kill the task, they move on to the next one. no celebration. no linkedin post about it. just the next thing.
that's what separates the 1% from the 99. not talent. not intelligence. not connections. the willingness to be violent with your time, your excuses, and your comfort zone. every single day without exception.
so the next time you're staring at something you need to do and you feel that resistance - that little voice telling you to do it tomorrow - remember what the word means.
execute.
